Robotics firm Agility Robotics and designer of supply-chain commerce solutions Manhattan Associates have announced a partnership to integrate bipedal robot technology into warehouse operations in the USA.
Agility Robotics, renowned for its Mobile Manipulation Robot (MMR) Digit, will join Manhattan’s Value Partner (MVP) program and Automation Network, marking a milestone as the first humanoid robotics provider to do so.
The collaboration will aim to integrate Digit and Agility Arc, the cloud automation platform that manages Digit fleets, with Manhattan’s Active Warehouse Management solution.

Eric Lamphier, senior director of Alliances at Manhattan Associates, commented on the potential of robotics like Digit to address labour shortages and enhance operational efficiency.
In a company statement, Agility Robotics designed its human-centric robot specifically for logistics work to complete “a variety of difficult, repetitive, and sometimes dangerous tasks in logistics and manufacturing operations, starting with bulk material handling use cases”.
Digit, which is powered by advanced AI, was designed for logistics tasks and offers adaptability and safety in environments where humans and robots work side-by-side, the companies said.
The cloud platform streamlines fleet deployment and management to simplify workflow and troubleshooting.
Peggy Johnson, CEO of Agility Robotics, said: “Digit is already the world’s only bipedal robot currently delivering useful work for customers, increasing productivity and safety while helping workers with difficult and repetitive tasks in warehouse and manufacturing operations.
“We’re thrilled to partner with Manhattan to streamline adoption of Agility’s solutions into existing best practices, and bring Digit to more warehouses around the world.”
