DHL Supply Chain names new CEO of North America

DHL Supply Chain named Patrick Kelleher CEO of North America, effective July 1, according to an April 30 press release. Kelleher will succeed Scott Sureddin, who will retire in December after more than 20 years of service.

Kelleher has been at DHL Group since 1992 and currently serves as global chief development officer. He will continue reporting to DHL Supply Chain CEO Oscar de Bok, according to the release.

Alongside other new board appoints, Kelleher will help strengthen DHL Supply Chain’s “ability to streamline operations, explore new markets, implement innovative digitalization solutions and develop future-proof strategies for our continued success,” de Bok said.

DHL Supply Chain has been making efforts to boost operational efficiency and throughput.

During Manifest Vegas 2024, Sally Miller — currently CIO of North America and soon-to-be global CIO, effective July 1 — discussed how the company is using automation and technology to boost employee retention. The logistics provider has also been expanding its fulfillment footprint and in 2023 announced plans to open four more automated warehouses to further digitize its warehousing operations.
